This is my post written to answer the question as to where "The Green Light Press" derives its name. To put it simply it is from the single greatest fictional tale I have ever and will ever experience in my lifetime-The Great Gatsby.
I cannot explain to you why I love it so, but I can describe it to you. Once finished reading this I will ask you to close your eyes. Imagine you are at the edge of a dock sitting on one side of a harbor or lake. Behind you stands everything you have worked so meticulously for. Every detail accounted for. They are mixed with the very cement that mortars a grand mansion that personifies your entire existence.
In front of you is a green light.
The green light is every imagination of euphoric bliss and paradise you have ever imagined. It has manifested into this one beacon calling to you at every moment of every day. It is the sweet aroma that wakes you from your sleep and it is the cool chill of mystery that beckons you to abandon your warmth in the middle of the night.
It is your happiness.
Between you and the light, is a vast amount of water. It signifies the closeness you are to the green light, and at the same time is shows you how much you still have to tread through to achieve a single touch from the green light. You stand at the edge of the dock every night and long for the green light. You have realized that the green light is the only thing that matters in this world-in your world.
This is The Great Gatsby.

Allow Me To Elaborate....
You always hear about "Closing Remarks", but I believe "Opening Remarks" to be just as, if not even more important. My name is Connor Holcomb, and I started "The Green Light Press" to bring you news, opinions and trivial oddities. This may have started out small and may remain so, but small things sometimes have the potential to become vast things. This is our chance for a new beginning to achieve greatness together.
Think of this as our own private get together where we can discuss the small things.
